 Taconic has developed special PTFE [Teflon ®] coated fibreglass products for use in the carpet industry. In this industry, our products are used extensively to apply synthetic rubber backing to carpeting. Taconic's conveyor belt conveys the uncured synthetic rubber PVC backing deposited on the PTFE Glass Fabric surface through a manufacturing process for fabrication of rubber backed fibre carpet floor covering. The woven fibre overlay is brought into contact with the uncured synthetic rubber PVC underlay; bonding takes place as the conveyor runs through the curing chamber. The non-stick PTFE Glass fabric surface imparts an impression of the glass fibre mesh to the finished product.
In tests carried out in the carpet industry, our products have been shown to last significantly longer than equivalent products from other manufacturers. Rolled goods are produced in 2600mm width and belts are cut to required conveyor length and width, and indeed can be joined on your machine with a specially developed non-marking joint on-site by our European conveyor belting team.
