Production of Rubber extrusions.

Silicone and PTFE coated fiberglass are used in the production of automotive extrusions. Taconic PTFE and Silicone coated Fiberglass Conveyor Belts are used for cooling the extruded Rubber products.

In some cases, a pattern is desired on the extruded Rubber. In this instance, a more textured fabric can be used to both release the Rubber extrusion and impart a pattern onto the finished and cooled profile.

Conveying and Lamination of Interior Automotive Parts.

Taconic PTFE coated Conveyor belts and fabrics are used to heat and transport hot Automotive composite parts such as roof linings and footwells. The belts are used to convey and pre-heat automotive parts before, during and after the process of lamination prior to them being pressed to shape in a heated die. In some OEM machines PTFE coated belts are also used to transport finished parts during the cooling process.

Taconic PTFE products are widely used in the production of parts for the automotive Industry in many other applications in addition to above. These include Thermoforming, Injection Moulding, Vacuum Forming, Resin Infusion, Vulcanisation, and production of woven Textile parts.
