Grinding Wheel

Taconic has a variety of products for use for the manufacture of grinding wheels and abrasive discs. These PTFE coated glass fabric products are used as release sheets between discs during curing and eliminate much of the cleaning of the press plates. These products can be PTFE coated on one or both sides. In addition to the excellent release properties and chemical resistance, the materials ability to withstand temperatures of up to 260°C makes Taconic’s fabrics crucial to this production process.

One of the key factors in deciding which product to use from the range is the desired impression or pattern on the disc. The determining factor is the smoothness of the surface of the PTFE coated glass fabric.
